I started this site because I got tired of the same recycled “best of” lists and the same five viral spots showing up in every travel feed. There’s a whole quiet California — and beyond — within a 12-hour drive of where most of us live. I drive it on weekends, take notes on what’s worth the gas, and post the honest version here.

No sponsored takes. No “10 best” filler. Just the places I’d actually tell a friend about. If a parking lot is full of Instagrammers, I usually keep driving — and so does this blog.
